After you talk with a prosthetist about your condition, goals and health, a rough estimate can be prepared.
A more exact estimate requires an evaluation appointment.
Cost: prosthetic care varies depending on the level of amputation and componetry. Oftentimes it’s difficult to tell someone how much their prosthesis is going to cost without an in-person evaluation.
If you need help with payment options or resources, please ask us. Our patient financial advocates will assist you in finding any help available. We have a list of resources we can use to help exhaust all options and to help you get the prosthesis you need.
INSURANCE AND PATIENT FINANCIAL OBLIGATION.
Our patient financial advocates provide individual assistance as patients work their way through the process of securing funding for their prosthesis. They spend time understanding each specific situation. Each advocate is knowledgeable in the field of prosthetics and they communicate with all payor sources. They assist with phone calls, forms and mailings and keep the patients and the prosthetist updated on the insurance approval process. With many years of experience in securing payment for prosthetic care, they are thorough and efficient. We believe providing this type of assistance to our patients is an important part of customized care.
We are in network for most Insurance providers and work with many others or an out of network basis. Contact our office and a member of our financial advocate team will be happy to help you. If a patient does not have insurance or a funding source, our financial advocates also help find alternative funding options.
UNDERSTANDING CHANGES IN HEALTHCARE:
With the recent onset of the Pandemic of Covid-19 we have implemented many new procedures to keep you and our staff healthy and safe. Just a few of the procedures we have implemented are:
- Limiting the number of people in the facility at any one time.
- Sterilizing all hard surfaces after each patient.
- Limiting the number of people coming in contact with our patients during the visit.
- Asking patients to refrain from coming to their appointments if ill or running a fever.
As the pandemic lessens and the restrictions are loosened, we will re-evaluate our policies and procedures. For a current list of what we are doing to keep our patients and staff healthy, contact our office.
